1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using NYC AutoPay ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

NYC AutoPay provides an automated parking ticket payment service for New York City drivers. Our service:

• Monitors NYC databases for parking tickets associated with your registered license plate
• Automatically pays detected tickets using your saved payment method
• Charges a 5% service fee on top of the ticket amount
• Sends email notifications for all payments processed

3. User Accounts

To use our service, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account login credentials
• Be the legal owner or authorized user of the registered vehicle
• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide a valid payment method

4. Payment and Billing

By using our service, you authorize us to:

• Charge your payment method for any parking tickets detected for your registered vehicle
• Add a 5% service fee to each ticket payment
• Process payments immediately upon ticket detection
• Update your payment method information as provided by our payment processor

You are responsible for ensuring your payment method has sufficient funds. Failed payments may result in late fees imposed by NYC.

5. Service Limitations

Our service has certain limitations:

• We cannot guarantee detection of all tickets due to potential delays in NYC database updates
• We do not handle ticket disputes - these must be addressed directly with NYC
• Service is limited to NYC parking and moving violations
• One vehicle per account in the current MVP version

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate vehicle and contact information
• Maintain a valid payment method
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Update your information when it changes
• Use the service only for legitimate purposes

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your account at any time through your dashboard or by contacting support. Upon cancellation, we will stop monitoring for new tickets immediately. Any pending payments for detected tickets will still be processed to prevent late fees.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. Payment information is securely processed by Stripe and not stored on our servers.

9. Limitation of Liability

NYC AutoPay provides this service "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any damages resulting from late fees, missed tickets, payment failures, or other issues beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability is limited to the service fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes indicates acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
